LINDALE, Ga. - The GOP Vice Presidential Nominee JD Vance will be campaigning in Lindale, Ga. on Oct. 4.

“Senator Vance understands how hardworking, blue-collar Americans have struggled under the failed policies and broken promises of the Harris/Biden administration,” Floyd County Republican Party Chair Jamie Palmer said Friday after the announcement. “We look forward to hearing common sense solutions from Senator Vance on behalf of the Trump/Vance administration as we look forward to putting Americans back to work and making America great again. The Floyd County Republican Party would also like to extend its biggest thanks to Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene for always fulfilling her promises to her 14th District constituents.”

The event will take place at The Mill in Lindale, Georgia. Doors will open at 11 a.m. and the event will take place at 1 p.m. General admission tickets are available at donaldjtrump.com.

The announcement for the campaign stop, released Friday, continued a hardline stance on illegal immigration. The campaign for former President Donald Trump, the Republican Party nominee, has been pushing the border issue hard in recent weeks seeking an edge against Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party nominee for president.

“Well over ten million illegal immigrants have poured into America under Kamala Harris’ disastrous reign as Border Czar — almost ten times the population of Georgia’s five largest cities combined: Atlanta, Augusta, Columbus, Macon, and Savannah,” a release announcing the campaign visit stated. “Illegal immigrants across the state have been arrested in communities from Floyd County for fatal drunk driving to Clarke County for the brutal murder of 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley.”

The announcement also accused Harris of supporting policies that allow “literal tons of lethal drugs like fentanyl” to easily cross the border.

In recent weeks the Trump campaign has stepped up its rhetoric concerning immigration and the border with Mexico as well as amplifying bogus claims about migrants eating pet cats and dogs.

The announcement made similar claims regarding Harris’ planned policies. On Friday, Harris visited Arizona to speak on President Joe Biden’s policies and the border.

She sought to defend the current administration’s border record by pointing to sharply declining immigration numbers after Biden signed an executive order in June temporarily closing the border to asylum seekers in that campaign stop.

“This is only the start; if elected, Kamala would continue to coddle illegals by backing an end to deportations, mass amnesty, sanctuary cities, abolishing ICE, decriminalizing illegal border crossings, free healthcare for illegals, and so much more,” the announcement for Vance’s visit stated.
