Pedestrian Struck and Killed on Highway 27 in Summerville, GA, Tuesday Morning

(WZQZ)- Chattooga County, Georgia Sheriff Mark Schrader announced early Tuesday morning, that a pedestrian was struck and killed on Highway 27 around 10:00 pm Monday.



The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Jeremy Paul Crump of Summerville, GA.


The individual was struck on 27 near Greeson Street in Summerville – receiving fatal injuries.


According to reports, the victim was wearing dark clothing when he was struck in the outside northbound lane of 27 by a vehicle traveling north. The driver immediately stopped after the incident.


The Georgia State Patrol is conducting an investigation and additional information is expected to be released soon.
